Thomas Friedman Op-Ed Generator

This is exactly what it sounds like. After about 5 hours of work, I think I’ve made what has to be the best Thomas Friedman op-ed generator that exists on the market today. I can’t give enough credit to Michael Ward whose post inspired the project (and whose work I use liberally in the generator, but not exclusively).

  1. Great Job! I would have added one thing:

A running theme in Friedman columns is his complaints of how shabby Penn Station and JFK airport are. Whenever he’s in a newly built, glitzy Chinese airport, or in a German rail station, he makes the comparison to Penn Station / JFK, followed by the remark, “and it makes you wonder, who [really won the war / is a developing country] ?

  2. You can see or hear this, but I am giving you a standing ovation.

Are mad-libs/markov chains new? No. But your execution is nearly flaws (and SEO friendly :-).

I seriously hope this spams google’s search engine so that people looking for Tom Friedman’s writing find your stuff instead.
